HALLOWEEN PARTY BAG

For this project I pitched the idea of PEZ Halloween mini dispensers for trick-or-treats or parties. Two original concepts were for 18 dispensers in a lay-down style bag or 12 dispensers in a stand-up box with handle. After some market research, it was decided to go the direction of a stand-up style bag. A style frequently seen in Halloween bulk candy packaging design.

The project consisted of 6 different designed dispensers. Mindful of final costs, I kept the print colors for each dispenser to a maximum of 3 (this does not include the color of the plastic dispenser ball or stem). But most utilize only 2 or 1.

Understanding the consumer and a desire for ease-of-use, each dispenser is wrapped individually in a clear, poly bag with one roll of candy and one information card. Per the FDA, each unit must include an ingredients list. I thought this was a good way to also include branding elements and directions for how to use the dispenser.

For the package design, I wanted to make sure there was a large enough front window so the consumer can clearly see the product. I also wanted to call attention to how many dispensers are included. But also to educate the consumer that this product has multiple uses (trick-or-treats and party giveaways).

I created all design elements, illustrations, and renderings in Illustrator and Photoshop.
